Morale measures the morale status of a girl, with low morale being referred to as "Fatigue", and higher morale as "Sparkling".
- Girls receive bonuses or penalties depending on their morale.
- The actual stat ranges from 0 to 100 but is hidden in-game, only visible by 4 vague status symbols
- The exact values can only be viewed by using a viewer.
Morale naturally regenerates by 3 points every 3 minutes up to a soft cap of 49. Exceeding this cap requires sorties, exercises, or gifting.
- Please see "Sparkling" for more information on how to sparkle ships.
Additionally, LBAS also have a moral system.
- See here for more details.
Overview
- Morale still naturally regenerates while a ship girl with 49 or less morale is on sortie or expedition.
- This means that sorties which take 15 minutes or more can be done consecutively with a single fleet.
- Repairing ship girls below 40 morale will reset their morale to 40.
- Remodeling a ship girl will reset her morale to 40.
- Newly obtained ship girls have 40 morale.
- The time it takes to recover to soft cap from various fatigue states is:
- Heavy Fatigue: 30-48 minutes
- Moderate Fatigue: 21-30 minutes
- Slight Fatigue: 0-9 minutes
- Morale will update after every battle.
- This means that ship girls can receive morale bonuses mid-sortie.
- Since entering a day battle reduces morale by 3, the minimum morale needed to stay Sparkled is usually 53.
- Although morale has a maximum value of 100, it is impossible to hit that value with sorties. It is only possible through repeated exercises and using gifts.
It is possible to sort ships by moral in the Fleet menu.

Food Supply Ship
Passive Morale Gain
"Food Supply Ships" (APF) can passively increase the fleet's Morale.
- The morale will increase every 15 min, consuming 1 fuel
per ship, and will be raised up to "Light sparkling". - The Increase rate will depend on the APF's remodel.
- This effect stacks with the morale natural regen for ships with a morale < 49.
- It requires the APF to
- Not be a "Reefer Ship" (AF) anymore,
- Be either flagship or second ship,
- Be fully supplied,
- Not be Shouha Lightly Damaged (小破) or worst,
- Have a good morale (30 or better),
- Not be in expedition or in docking.
- It works with
- All ships in the fleet,
- Ships in any damage status,
- Ships in any morale status.
- It does not work if
- The ship is in docking.
- If a ship was in dock when the fleet was setupped, it will still not work once it is repaired, unless the fleet/timer is reset.
This mechanic is an early implementation and is subject to change.
| APF | Morale gain / 15 min | Morale cap |
|---|---|---|
| +2 | 54 | |
| +3 | 54 |
- Bug
- The mechanic is not stopped/reset if the fleet is changed using the fleet presets option.
- It is possible to set up a morale fleet, and instead of waiting, launch sorties with preset fleets. If the original morale fleet is reinstated using the presets before the 15 min check, the moral gain will happen [1].
Gifting
Gifting is the function to feed sweets to ship girls in a fleet to raise their morale. This function is available by clicking on the Gift (給) button in the Composition menu.
- The amount displayed beside the button is the total amount of Mamiya and Irako possessed.
- Either, Mamiya only, Irako only, or Both sweets can be given.
- Combined Fleet are still considered 2 fleets and so require separate uses.
Mamiya
Using Mamiya
sets the morale of all ships in the fleet to a fixed value:
- 0-39 Morale: Set to 40.
- 40-49 Morale: Set to 50.
Irako
Using Irako
increases the morale:
- Of the flagship by +25,
- Of 0 to 3 random other ship girls in the fleet by +25.
Mamiya and Irako
Using both Mamiya and Irako together increases the flagship's morale by +30 and the morale of the rest of the ship girls in the fleet by +20-31.
- Ship girls that are below 39 morale get their morale set to 40 before the bonus morale is applied.
- If the ship girls are already sparkled, the bonus morale is added on top of their current morale values.
- A single use is roughly equal to 1 Mamiya and 5 Irako used individually.
- Using this on a Striking Force Fleet applies the bonus to all 7 members.
LBAS Morale
Independently from ships, each LBAS plane slot has a moral status, decreasing at each sortie, and being restored by waiting.
- This morale notably affects the plane's accuracy, and can be restored faster by using the appropriated LBAS deployment mode, or by consuming a Special Aviation Ration.
- For more information on this topic, see LBAS Morale.
