Seasonal/End of Year 2025

About O-Souji

O-Souji

O-souji(大掃除) or End of the Year Cleaning is a tradition in Japan that occurs near the end of the year in which family and friends will clean up the house or workplace. The reason they clean up their homes is so they begin the New Year on a "clean slate". The tradition used to begin on the 13th of December, but nowadays is performed around the Christmas Holiday Season (23rd/24th) and lasts till New Year's Eve.
