Provisional Marriage
-You've forged a strong bond with a ship girl.-

"Marriage", literally "Provisional Marriage" (ケッコンカッコカリ) was introduced with the 14/02/14 Update. This mechanic allows to marry ship girls, increasing their abilities.

Overview

Marriage Ring and Documents

"Marriage Ring and Documents" ("Rings") are consumed for each marriage.

There must be Wedding Ring and Documents ("Ring") in the Inventory.
1 Ring is rewarded by completing the quests below.
More Rings can be purchased from the Shop for 700 points each.

Item Description

ケッコンカッコカリに必要な書類一式と指輪。改装で使用する。

A set of documents and a ring required for a fake marriage. Used in the "Refit" menu.

Marrying A Girl

Level number glows at Lv99.

Confirmation dialog.

Marriage Ceremony

Once a girl reach level 99, she can be married:

Marriage Procedure

Select the girl in the Remodel Menu.
- Her level indicator will be glowing to signify that she can be married.
Click on her level indicator to bring up the marriage menu.
Click on the Sign the Document (書類一式にサインする) button to confirm.
- The cinematic may take a while to load so please be patient.

Marriage Effects

Gameplay Effects

A married girl will have:

Her level instantly raised to 100 and her level cap raised to 185 (see here).
- This will affect all level-related elements, namely:
  - Some Expeditions' requirements or/and great success rate,
  - Natural stat growth for ASW , LoS , evasion , and accuracy /hit rate,
  - Repair time,
  - Night Recon trigger rate,
  - Night Cut-In trigger rate,
  - Touch trigger rates,
  - Touch damage for SS(V),
  - Experience bonus for CT,

Hidden Fit Bonuses/Penalties being "diminished".

Bonus +3~6 luck (random).
- This bonus will not go over the ship girl's hard luck cap (only relevant for ship already luck modded).

Consumption of fuel and ammo is reduced by 15%.
- This does not affect bauxite consumption when replenishing planes.

Her max HP increase, see the below table for details.
- The HP increase depends on her remodel's base HP and HP cap,
- E.g. marrying Bismarck Base/Kai (90/94 HP +5 HP) will not get her to 101 HP upon remodel to Zwei/Drei (96 HP +3 HP).
- This will affect HP modernization for certain ship reaching the HP cap.

Cosmetic Effects

Wedding ring appears on bottom right.

An animated sakura petal shower effect will appear behind the married ship girl at the Home Port menu when she is Secretary"1st fleet's flagship".
A wedding ring icon will appear on her card and banner:
Her name will have a pink tint on the Composition menu, and her level golden on most menus.
She will get an additional secretary voice line.
The Chabudai Set's food will change during the saury season for married ships.

Additional Notes

The marriage cinematic can be rewatched at any time from the Library menu.
- The replay button is only accessible on the normal CG (not seasonal ones),
- It will be played with the ship current CG and not the CG at the time of the marriage,
- Only the remodel married will have the cinematic available (e.g. marrying "Kongou Kai Ni" will not allow viewing the cinematic for "Kongou Base/Kai/Kai Ni C"),
  - In the case the remodel has a different CG than the base one but still shares a single Gallery entry, then the replay button will only be available on said remodel's CG.
Marriage will not change the minimum and maximum stats of a ship girl other than the previously mentioned ones,
Morale and resupply status do not change on marriage,
HP are fully regenerated for marriage (the damaged form cannot appear during marriage).

Fun fact

In Japan, the cost required to get married in real life is 450 yen, including the cost of submitting the various documents, with the marriage registration being free of charge.

The cost offset might be the price of the ring.

In addition to the rewarded "Senbei Futon":

The "Chabudai Set" changes if the Secretary is married.
The "Ooi's Super Personal Belongings Shelf" and "Orange Lights and Gifts" depict a marriage ring.
