Her name is an archaic word for September, specifically the ninth month of Japan's Lunar Calendar, which is no longer in use.
She was launched on the 6th of October 1926.
Combat loss on the 7th of July 1943, at the Battle of Kula Gulf (08°02′S 157°12′E).

Update History

She was part of the original game's launch when the game was released on the 23rd of April 2013.

Misc

Her high luck (highest of the Mutsuki class) is most likely due to her not having been sunk: she was heavily damaged but managed to beach herself to avoid sinking. However, it proved impossible to repair the damage and she was later destroyed by enemy aircraft.
