Gameplay Notes
Coastal Defense Ships (DE) are weak ships with high ASW 
stat, utilizing 
ASW equipment. They:
- Can perform special OASW with lower ASW stat,
- Provide
HP Modernization, 
Luck Modernization, or ASW Modernization, - Cannot equip
Engine Improvements, and so cannot be Speed Modded.

I'm the first ship of the Ukuru-class, made with the aim of balancing ease of manufacture with combat ability, Ukuru! We Ukuru-class used as many straight lines as possible and concentrated deployments of Type 3 Depth Charge Projectors, to reduce our construction time while maintaining our combat ability.[1] I survived the harsh war and was recommissioned as a Ojika-class patrol ship after the war! I served well on those peaceful seas.[2] |

- ↑ She was recommissioned as the patrol ship Satsuma in the Japan Coast Guard.
- ↑ Improvements in her design allowed the Ukuru-class to be built in 30,000 man-hours compared to 57,000 for the Mikura-class.
