General Information

• Unlike other submarines, she does not call herself by some nickname. Some potential nicknames are:
  • "Shi-chan" ("Ms 4", しーちゃん), used by I-36,
  • "Yoichi" (余市), al alternative reading of "41", not really used.
• She was launched on the 10th of November 1942.
• She sunk on the 18th of November 1944.
