Introduction

陸軍の決戦機として開発・量産された傑作戦闘機キ84、四式戦「疾風」。
陸軍戦闘機部隊の主力戦闘機として配備され、捷一号作戦などで戦いました。
フィリピン戦線に投入された四式戦を装備した戦隊は、悪化した戦局の中、一時的ではあるもののレイテ上空の制空権確保に尽力しました。

The Ki-84 Type 4 Fighter "Hayate" is a masterwork fighter developed and mass-produced for the IJA.
It was deployed as the core of the IJA's air force and fought in Operation Sho-go 1.
A squadron equipped with the Type 4 fighters fought to secure temporary air superiority in Leyte on the Philippines front despite the deteriorating situation.
